International Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you reside, including India, Canada (where Shopify is headquartered), and the United States. For transfers out of the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. For Indian users, transfers are subject to restrictions under the DPDP Act, 2023.

EU Representative: As Baghpat House is established outside the EU but offers goods to EU consumers, the appointment of an EU-based representative under GDPR Article 27 is in progress. This section will be updated with the representative's details once confirmed.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Under the DPDP Act, personal data must be erased when no longer necessary or upon consent withdrawal.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Port your data in a structured format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests (EU/UK)

Region-Specific Provisions

EU and UK: We process data under the GDPR and UK GDPR. Legal bases include contract performance, consent, legitimate interest, and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

India: We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and SPDI Rules, 2011. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 was notified on 14 November 2025; full compliance obligations take effect on 13 May 2027. We are aligning with each phase as it comes into force.

California: Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat this as a valid opt-out.
