Description

A tapered basket woven by hand from undyed palm leaf, finished with a top handle cut from full-grain leather. The conical body widens from base to rim and holds its line without slumping; the leather is cut and stitched by hand, so grain and tone vary piece to piece and deepen with use. Palm leaf below, leather above — two natural materials that age together.

Made to carry and to sit out on display between uses. The weave holds its structure; the leather handle takes a full load and softens with handling.
