The Perugia is hand-woven from hand-spun jute fibre by artisans in Baghpat. Jute's coarse, dry handle and tonal warmth are intrinsic to the material — the weave is meant to read as rustic, not refined.
Jute is one of the most renewable fibres on the planet — the plant matures in under six months and the fibre is fully biodegradable. Finished here with natural dyes and no synthetic blends. The bag softens and deepens in colour with handling.
